How to Read Your Beacon Water Meter Device

Beacon devices primary purpose:

  • Give customers the availability to view and monitor their water use.
  • Early leak notification. Beacon devices are not intended to be a leak detection device (physically reading the dial is the best way to find out if a leak is still persistent).
  • Does not communicate in real time. Beacon devices communicate once every 24 hours.
  • Beacons transmit cellularly. With the hilly terrain and tree coverage your device may not communicate for a few days. We try to monitor this as best as we can to make sure your device is communicating properly.

    First Screen in Units with Extended Digits
    Only underlined digits are the read. For example, 791 units is the read.

    The important part of the screen is the flow indicator on the right. You will see a circular movement when water is flowing.

    Third Screen Shows Meter Size "d=screen"
    35 = 3/4 inch
    70 = 1 inch
    120 = 1 1/2 inch

    Fourth Screen Shows Current Gal/min. Flow
    Now, there is no flow. If it showed a number, multiply the number by 60 to get hourly flow.
